World Cup News: Brazil & Denmark squad announced and Varane injury boost

Let’s see some of the international football news around the World Cup.

Brazil World Cup squad announced as Firmino misses out

Roberto Firmino of Liverpool was left off Brazil’s team for the Fifa World Cup in Qatar in favor of Arsenal attacker Gabriel Martinelli.

Alisson of Liverpool and Ederson of Manchester City will compete for the starting goalkeeper position.

There are 12 Premier League players in Tite’s squad. Thiago Silva, a defender for Chelsea, has been picked. The midfielders include Casemiro and Fred of Manchester United. Bruno Guimaraes of Newcastle, Fabinho of Liverpool, and Lucas Paqueta of West Ham.

Dani Alves, a former Barcelona right defender who currently represents Pumas UNAM in Mexico, has also been chosen.

Richarlison of Tottenham and Anthony of Manchester United are among the brilliant forwards who have joined Neymar of Paris St. Germain in Qatar.

Raphinha of Barcelona, Rodrygo, and Vinicius Jr. of Real Madrid are all preferred.

Denmark announces preliminary 21-man squad

Christian Eriksen, a midfielder for Manchester United, has been selected for Denmark’s preliminary World Cup roster in Qatar.

Denmark has named 21 players from its 26-man roster; the remaining five will be revealed after the last round of league matches.

Before the tournament starts on November 20, the final roster must be submitted to Fifa by November 13.

Manager Kasper Hjulmand of Denmark stated, “Many things can happen.”

“It’s impossible to solve, but it’s the appropriate course of action because many of our players still have two games left, which may easily alter the situation.”

“The final five places are still up for grabs between 10 and 12 players.”

Denmark’s opening Group D match will be against Tunisia. Following that, they will play the reigning champions, France, on November 26 and Australia on November 30.

France handed Raphael Varane an injury boost

Raphael Varane reportedly plans to resume training soon before joining Didier Deschamps’ team for the World Cup.

According to a recent report from L’Equipe, the defender is unlikely to play in United’s next two matches before the World Cup gets underway in Qatar.

Varane might participate in first-team training at Carrington before leaving for his next significant competition. Though we are only assuming that Deschamps will still pick him despite injury concerns.

Despite initial worries that his World Cup dream would end before it even began, Varane seems to be winning his fitness sprint to support France in their title defense.
