Having some doubts regarding his future not long ago, Raphael Varane apparently has changed his mind. The French international is now keen on staying with Los Blancos, squashing any rumors about his potential departure.

Varane revealed to the media in a recent interview that he will be staying put at Madrid next summer. Moreover, the also added his believes that Zinedine Zidane’s side will return to winning ways next season.

“Next season I will still be here. I’m sure we will return to making great memories,” the defender confirmed.

That statement pretty much shut down recent speculation saying that he will be departing from Santiago Bernebau. The French international looks to find his believes again with Madrid after experiencing a difficult season.

Zidane’s return as Madrid’s boss seems to be the key for Varane in deciding that he won’t leave Los Blancos as just yet. The center back will now look to take some rest, before coming back for his team’s pre season in the summer.

Not only giving comfortness for Madrid fans, but the French international’s statement will also brings disappointment for other teams. There’s been reports that the likes of Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) were keen on getting Varane next summer.

However, with his vows in staying, it will take another disappointing situation at Los Blancos to force him in leaving the club.
