An interesting sort of swap deal set to happen between two Serie A sides, Napoli and AS Roma. The Partenopei will be signing Kostas Manolas from Giallorossi, meanwhile the capital side are getting Amadou Diawara.
The agreement is basically a swap deal agreement, but due to financial situation will be dealt differently. Napoli are going to pay 34 million Euro for Manolas signing (with additional two million for the defender.
As for Roma, they will be paying 18 million plus two million in bonuses for Diawara. This type of deal should help Roma in dealing with their FFP situation as they’re getting a major capital boost.
Despite having to sent 20 million, the Giallorossi still getting positive financial balance in that deal. Paulo Fonseca’s men are in need to get certain amount of money this summer if they don’t want to get into another FFP problem.
Napoli themselves are looking to have potentially one of the strongest center back pairings around with Manolas’ arrival. The Greek international will be partnering Kalidou Koulibaly, who is set to stay with the Partenopei next summer.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side are working really hard to improve their squad, hoping that they can compete for the title next season. Seeing Juventus and Inter Milan are having new tacticians, Napoli believes they can have a go at the Scudetto.
