Spending about 13 years at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea’s top midfielder, Frank Lampard now return with a new role. The ex-England international is now The Blues’ new manager after signing a three year deal on Thursday.
Despite only being his second managerial experience, Lampard, doesn’t seem concern with the challenge. He himself is feeling proud to have the opportunity in returning to Chelsea as their head coach this soon.
Although admitting the strong emotion his currently feeling, the former midfielder is not getting carried away. Speaking in a recent press conference, the 41-year-old added that for now his only focus is to prepare his squad for the upcoming NBA season.
“I am immensely proud to be returning to Chelsea as head coach. Everyone knows my love for this club and the history we have shared.”Lampard stated. “However, my sole focus is on the job in hand and preparing for the season ahead.”
Moreover, the young tactician also sharing his mission to many people, which is giving more success for The Blues. It won’t be an easy task but the manager is not short of beliefs and confidence in fulfilling that ambition.
Being a legend at Stamford Bridge, Lampard certainly have a strong bond already with Chelsea and its fans. However, it remain to be seen on whether he can keep that support if things doesn’t go well.
