Let’s see some of the transfer news around the football world.
Nicolo Zaniolo completes ā¬16.5m Galatasaray transfer
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Italian midfielder signed a contract with the Turkish team after leaving Roma in a deal that might cost ā¬16.5 million, plus add-ons of up to ā¬13 million.
A ā¬35 million release clause is part of Zaniolo’s four-year contract, keeping him on Galatasaray’s books until 2027.
In January, Premier League clubs Tottenham and Bournemouth were interested in Zaniolo, and Roma manager Mourinho officially expressed Zaniolo’s wish to leave the team.Ā
The Portuguese manager vented his frustration by saying, “unfortunately, Zaniolo seems to be staying” before facing Napoli in Serie A. He also declared that he only worries about “players who want to do well for this club”.
Following the tragic earthquake that struck the nation, the Turkish window has been extended till February 18.Ā
The decision benefits all sides because, according to reports, the Italian club had even threatened to cut the player from the team if he continued to play at Stadio Olimpico.
Official, confirmed. Nicolò Zaniolo has signed as new Galatasaray player, now confirmed by AS Roma statement ?? #Galatasaray

Aubameyang is closing in on the LAFC loan move
Aubameyang was excluded from the Blues’ most recent game against Fulham and Graham Potter’s whole Champions League team to make room for recruits, giving the impression that he has no future in west London.
As Aubameyang nears a transfer to LAFC, Spanish publication Relevo is now stating that Chelsea is willing to pay his entire £160,000-per-week ($193,000) wage.
The MLS team and the Gabon international’s negotiations are believed to have advanced throughout the week since they started on Monday. According to the same publication, Aubameyang will join on a loan that lasts until June, after which it seems very probable that he will permanently depart the team.
A catastrophic period at Chelsea that was destined from the start to fail will come to an end with a move to the United States.Ā
Thomas Tuchel specifically requested that Aubameyang be hired, but the German was fired a few days later, and the 33-year-old has since managed just three goals in 17 appearances in all competitions.
? Aubameyang talks advance. If it happens, Chelsea to pay players salary while on loan at #LAFC !! Just need Aubaās approval. Another thing to note: Auba canāt sign with another European team since heās been in 2 teams in one year. LAFC is one of his best options atm. https://t.co/C0Ycd2YaTg pic.twitter.com/xuJhsG2sr4

Another managerial target rejected Leeds
To add to their irritation, Leeds United’s efforts to find a new manager have been rejected by Andoni Iraola, their top target to succeed ousted manager Jesse Marsch.Ā
The Yorkshire team is still looking for a successor for the American and has already been turned down by one more Marcelo Bielsa follower.
After Marsch was fired on Monday, Leeds contacted West Brom about the potential of hiring Carlos Corberan, who had previously served as their With-23s coach and worked under Bielsa.
The Spaniard decided to stay with the Championship team and signed a new deal.
After Corberan turned them down, Leeds prioritised Rayo Vallecano manager Iraola as their primary target, and sporting director Victor Orta flew in for negotiations with the La Liga club on Wednesday. Nevertheless, based on information from Spain, their attempts to entice Iraola to Elland Road were unsuccessful.
Arne Slot, the manager of Feyenoord, is reportedly the next candidate for the managerial position after the 44-year-old Dutchman helped the Eredivisie team contend for the championship. After leaving River Plate, Marcelo Gallardo may be interested in the position and is also on the list.
