Transfer talks: Trossard demands Brighton exit, Chelsea could sign Thuram & Man United announce Weghorst

Let’s see some of the transfer news around the football world.

Leandro Trossard demands Brighton exit after being humiliated

Leandro Trossard alleges Roberto De Zerbi “humiliated” him and has issued a statement calling for a January departure from Brighton.

Trossard won’t be playing for the Seagulls against Liverpool on Saturday, according to manager De Zerbi, who claimed the Belgian had a “bad attitude.”Ā

These allegations have been refuted by Trossard and his agent, who argue that De Zerbi has been mistreating Trossard and that the only course of action left is to leave in January.

De Zerbi reported on Friday morning that Trossard had left a training session early after learning that he would not be starting the FA Cup match against Middlesbrough.

“He walked out of the session without speaking to me. It’s also not good.” said De Zerbi. “I expressed to him why I didn’t appreciate his attitude and behaviour during our conversation.”Ā

“I’m willing to step back and listen to him, but he must understand that I only want players that put in a lot of effort and give their all for the team. Regarding the transfer market, I am unsure about his intentions.”

In response to these allegations, Trossard’s agency issued a statement outlining their version of the facts. It says: “Brighton planned to get Leandro to sign a new deal before he went for Qatar. Due to a lack of agreement between the parties, this did not occur.”Ā

“Leandro has also stated that he is prepared to move on. Therefore, it is crucial that Brighton works cooperatively with a potential transfer throughout this transfer window and exhibits a kind disposition, which is advantageous to both sides.”

Chelsea could sign Marcus Thuram for € 10 million

According to reports, Chelsea might buy Borussia Monchengladbach attacker Marcus Thuram for around €10 million.

Since the France international’s deal at Gladbach is about to expire, it might make sense for the Bundesliga club to try to make a profit off of him this January.

According to Christian Falk, Thuram has reasons to remain in Germany for a while, but Chelsea might convince Gladbach to let him go if they bid €10 million.

If the Blues are successful, that would be a great deal because Graham Potter still needs additional attacking reinforcements despite the loan signing of Joao Felix.

Falk added, “I heard Gladbach is still awaiting a bid from Chelsea for Marcus Thuram. They still need a striker since Joao Felix is not the same type of striker.”Ā

“Instead of losing Thuram for free in the summer, Gladbach has the notion of selling him now for €10 million and reinvesting the proceeds in a new striker.”Ā

“Of course, the offer hasn’t come yet, and they’re a little worried about Barcelona, who have been signing up all the available free agents.”

Wout Weghorst joins Manchester United on loan from Burnley

Manchester United has officially acquired Wout Weghorst on a temporary loan from Burnley.

Man United paid Besiktas Ā£2.6 million to cancel the Netherlands international’s loan in Istanbul.

Although United will cover 100% of Weghorst’s salary for the remainder of the season, they are under no obligation to purchase him in the summer.

The 30-year-old attacker expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to join Manchester United.Ā

“I’ve previously competed against the team, so getting the chance to don the fabled red shirt is an incredible sensation. I’ve been impressed with United’s growth this year under Erik ten Hag, and I can’t wait to start contributing to the team’s improvement.”Ā

“As a United player, I can guarantee I will give the club everything I have for my stay here. I want to thank everyone who helped me get to this point. I am now looking forward to meeting my new teammates and starting immediately.”
