Sevilla vs. Manchester United Preview, Squad Report & Prediction

Sevilla and Manchester United will meet in the second leg of their Europa League quarter-final on Thursday evening at Estadio Ramon.

Team Form

In their recent match at Old Trafford, Sevilla had a tough time in the first half against Manchester United. The Red Devils scored two goals in the first 21 minutes, thanks to Sabitzer’s impressive performance.

However, Sevilla made a comeback in the second half, showing a much better performance and scoring two goals, leaving the tie delicately poised for the second leg in Andalusia.

Sevilla’s poor performance in La Liga this season has left them in 13th place, with a considerable 16-point gap between them and fourth-placed Real Sociedad. They will have to win the Europa League to secure a spot in the next season’s Champions League.

But it’s not all bad news for Sevilla. They have been playing better in their recent games, with seven points from their last three league matches, including a 2-0 victory over Valencia last weekend.

Manchester United

During their match against Sevilla, Man United missed several chances to secure the game before the late own goals from Malacia and Maguire. The night was also damaging in other ways, with Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane both picking up injuries.

However, Man United has a history of bouncing back quickly from disappointing results, and they did just that in their recent Premier League match against Nottingham Forest.

The team played excellently, securing a 2-0 victory with goals from Antony and Diogo Dalot and strengthening their position in the top-four spot in the table.

Currently, Man United is third in the English Premier League, with six points ahead of fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur with a game in hand. The team will also be facing Brighton & Hove Albion in the semi-finals of the FA Cup on Sunday, which marks a defining period in the campaign.
