Leeds United vs Brighton Highlights

Leeds United fought back twice to secure a 2-2 draw against Brighton & Hove Albion at Elland Road, thanks to stunning goals from Patrick Bamford and Jack Harrison.

Leeds, who were in the bottom three of the Premier League (PL) ahead of the match, displayed their desperation by pressing high up the pitch and looking to counter quickly, but Brighton controlled the game and took the lead through their star players.

With Leeds in need of another comeback, it was Jack Harrison who provided the spark, controlling a cross-field pass from Luke Ayling before cutting inside and unleashing a rocket of a shot from 30 yards out that flew past Sanchez and into the top corner. The Seagulls nearly snatched a late winner, but Meslier produced a stunning save to deny Danny Welbeck’s header and ensure that Leeds claimed a hard-fought point.

After a sustained attack from Brighton, Leeds’ defenders were scrambling to clear Mitoma’s cross, but Meslier’s save off Maximilian Wöber directed the ball towards Harrison, who deflected it in under pressure from Solly March.

Leeds’ defenders were under pressure from Brighton’s attack when Mitoma’s cross led to an own-goal by Harrison. However, Harrison redeemed himself by scoring a fantastic equalizer from a quick corner taken by Gnonto.

Neither side was able to break the deadlock during the end-to-end final 10 minutes. The draw resulted in Leeds going three matches without a win under Javi Gracia and failing to take all three points for the sixth time in their Premier League history against Brighton.
