Israel U21 and England U21 Highlights & Goals

The UEFA European Under-21 Championship semi-final match between Israel U21 and England U21 ended with a decisive 3-0 victory for England. This win secured England’s place in the final for the first time since 2009.

The match started with a missed penalty from England’s Morgan Gibbs-White. However, he redeemed himself by scoring the opening goal with a fine header three minutes before half-time. This goal was the result of a well-executed left-wing cross from Cole Palmer.

In the 63rd minute, Manchester City’s starlet, Cole Palmer, extended England’s lead with a close-range finish. Initially ruled out for offside, the goal was allowed to stand following a lengthy review from the Video Assistant Referee (VAR).

The final nail in the coffin for Israel came in the 90th minute when substitute Cameron Archer scored an emphatic third goal for England with a rising shot from the center of the penalty box.

Despite their impressive run in the tournament, Israel, who had beaten tournament co-hosts Georgia on penalties in the quarterfinals, couldn’t stand against the dominant England side. England, who have yet to concede a goal in the competition, will now compete in the final for the first time since 2009.

In conclusion, England’s victory over Israel was a testament to their dominance and flawless performance throughout the tournament. They will now face Spain in the European U21 Championship final, aiming to become European champions at U21 level for the third time and first since back-to-back triumphs in 1982 and 1984.
