Everton vs Brentford Highlights

Everton’s 1-0 victory over Brentford at Goodison Park moved them two points clear of the Premier League relegation zone and ended the visitors’ 12-match unbeaten run in the league.

Dwight McNeil scored the only goal of the match in the opening minute to secure Everton a 1-0 win against Brentford, who saw their 12-match unbeaten run in the Premier League come to an end, despite the Toffees missing several opportunities to extend their lead.

Despite dominating the game, Everton had a scare when Ivan Toney missed a great opportunity to equalize just before the half-hour mark, but they regained control and created more chances through Alex Iwobi and Demarai Gray, although the latter had a goal disallowed for handball, while Brentford’s goalkeeper David Raya made some crucial saves.

After the restart, Brentford tried to equalize and came close as Rico Henry saw his header saved by Jordan Pickford, but Everton’s Dwight McNeil cleared a header from Ethan Pinnock off the line, as the Toffees held on to secure a vital win and end Brentford’s 12-match unbeaten Premier League run.

Everton secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Brentford at Goodison Park, ending the visitors’ 12-match unbeaten run in the Premier League and moving two points clear of the relegation zone, while Brentford remain in 9th place, four points behind the European places.
