The United manager gave a press conference before their Europa League match against Sociedad.
To surpass Sociedad and avoid an embarrassing tie in the following round, United must defeat Sociedad by a margin of two goals.
Ten Hag highlights the importance of winning against Sociedad
Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, has stated that his squad needs to defeat Real Sociedad tomorrow. He noted that the team’s main goal was to defeat the Spanish opposition by a score of two goals or more.
“It’s crucial [to defeat Sociedad],” he remarked.
“The next night, we can triumph. To win by a two-goal advantage, we know what to do. But winning every game is necessary to take home the trophy. Therefore, we must do that.”
“About six weeks have passed [since the defeat to Sociedad], and the team has changed. We’re advancing well and expanding and developing. We know that winning games are challenging here, but we enjoy the challenge.”
“As a team we have a plan for it, and we will do everything to get it done. We know we have to win by two goals.”
Ten Hag stated that he was aware Sociedad and their manager enjoyed playing “poetic football” when asked what to anticipate from them. However, he maintained that this is something the Red Devils must try to overcome and look to oppose.

Ten Hag makes frank Diogo Dalot workload admission
Diogo Dalot was one of the players who stood out during the Dutch manager’s news conference.
Ten Hag showered Dalot with praise, expressing his immense happiness with the Portuguese defender’s progress.
The United boss, however, openly acknowledged that the player was currently carrying a huge workload and once more emphasized the need for the team to put in a backup plan.
“We’re quite pleased with Diogo’s progress, but I know every top club needs competition and backup.”
While acknowledging that Dalot was being physically pushed to the limit, the 52-year-old said the player is more than capable of bearing the load given his strong physical profile.

Injury updates ahead of Sociedad clash
Three prominent stars are expected to miss Thursday’s critical match against Real Sociedad, a setback for Manchester United.
The manager will not be able to choose Antony, Anthony Martial, or Jadon Sancho when he selects the starting lineup for tomorrow’s match against Sociedad.
Antony, who missed United’s game against West Ham, will stay at Carrington to concentrate on his recovery.
Martial unexpectedly recovered from his injury sooner than expected, but he still doesn’t seem ready to resume playing.
According to Ten Hag, the Frenchman was not expected to make a comeback after the World Cup, but the athlete recovered quickly.

Sancho is absent because of a medical condition. The Englishman’s ailment is unknown, but we hope he recovers and rejoins his teammates.
After his impressive performance against Sheriff, Alejandro Garnacho may have the chance to start the next game in the Europa League.
In addition to Garnacho, Radek Vitek, Zidane Iqbal, and Shola Shoretire were all unexpected additions to the group traveling to Spain.
