Eintracht Frankfurt 1-1 Stuttgart Highlights

Stuttgart’s compact defense frustrated Frankfurt’s attack, and they took the lead against the run of play when Philipp Klement’s shot deflected off the heel of Makoto Hasebe and past Kevin Trapp, but Frankfurt managed to salvage a point through Amin Younes’ well-placed finish in the second half.

The second half began much like the first, with both sides struggling to create any clear-cut chances, but it was Stuttgart who broke the deadlock against the run of play in the 68th minute through Philipp Förster’s clinical finish from a tight angle, before Frankfurt’s Ajdin Hrustic levelled things up with a stunning long-range effort just four minutes later. However, neither team could find a winner in the closing stages, and the match ended in a 1-1 draw, leaving Stuttgart still in the relegation zone.

Frankfurt took the lead early in the second half through Sebastian Rode’s deflected strike, and Stuttgart responded by bringing on Silas and Chris Führich off the bench in search of an equalizer.

Stuttgart’s Silas equalized for his team in the 75th minute after collecting Genki Haraguchi’s pass, becoming the first opposing player to score a league goal at Deutsche Bank Park in 2023 and giving Stuttgart hope of securing their first away Bundesliga victory since December 2021.

The visitors were denied a winning goal when Enzo Millot’s powerful effort narrowly missed the far post, and Stuttgart’s wait for an away Bundesliga win continues as they remain in the relegation playoff spot, while Frankfurt will try to overcome a two-goal deficit in their upcoming UEFA Champions League match against Napoli.
