Crystal Palace 0-1 Manchester City Highlights
Manchester City kept up the pressure on Premier League leaders Arsenal by securing a hard-fought 1-0 victory against Crystal Palace, earning three valuable points in their bid to regain the PL title.
Manchester City were determined to cut the gap at the top of the table and took the game to Crystal Palace from the outset, with Erling Haaland missing a golden opportunity midway through the first half. Despite dominating possession, City had to settle for a goalless first half, but their fans remained confident given that their last nine goals against Palace had come in the second half.
Despite dominating possession, Manchester City struggled to find the back of the net as Crystal Palace goalkeeper Vicente Guaita made a number of impressive saves, including a free-kick from Phil Foden, while Palace continued to struggle to create chances and had not had a shot on target in four hours of Premier League play, making their need for a win to alleviate relegation fears all the more pressing; however, a penalty from Erling Haaland in the 70th minute was enough to secure the win for City.
Despite missing a number of chances, Manchester City comfortably maintained their unbeaten league run with a 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace, leaving Palace only four points above the relegation zone and searching for a much-needed win.
